Application Rate
May be applied as a granule or can be made into a liquid. Application rate is 4 - 8 pounds per 1,000 sq. feet or to make a liquid dilute 25% product into 75% water (1:3 ratio). In granule form 50 pounds will cover 11,000 sq. ft. at 4 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. and 5,500 sq. ft. at 8 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft.. A pallet or tote will cover between 550,000 sq. ft. at 4 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. and 275,000 sq. ft. at 8 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Granule 4 lb per 1,000 sq ft = 11,000 sq ft of coverage
- Granule 8 lb per 1,000 sq ft = 5,500 sq ft of coverage
- Pallet-Tote covers 550,000 sq ft at 4 pounds per 1,000 sq ft

Caution
Icemelter should not be applied to unsealed concrete, brick, exposed aggregate or precast steps. Do not use icemelter on concrete less than 12 months old. Applying icemelter to damaged, cracked, chipped, or inferior concrete may result in further damage due to the natural freeze/thaw cycle. Water resulting from the melted ice and snow may be absorbed by the concrete and upon refreezing expand, which may lead to further surface damage. Removing all slush and melted ice or water from the concrete will reduce the risk. Excessive amount of icemelter may damage plant life if left to accumulate.
