About The Organic 5 Part Salad Mix
Organic Alfalfa Sprouting Seeds: Medicago sativa, are the perfect addition to any salad or dish. Dating back millennia, alfalfa is one of the most diverse legumes around and only recently has non-GMO Organic alfalfa been celebrated for its delicious taste and extraordinary health benefits. Grown both on Commercial farms and home gardens, these sprouts are a truly natural way to supply your body with essential nutrients like fiber, protein, vitamins, potassium and minerals that help you stay healthy and strong. We know you’ll love their sweet, nutty flavor; try them today in a wrap or tossed into a fresh garden salad! With their light crunchiness, Organic Alfalfa Sprouts from Rocky Mountain BioAg make every meal extraordinary.
Organic Broccoli Sprouting Seeds: Brassica oleracea var. italica, are a must-have for any health or wellness enthusiast. Did you know that broccoli is one of the world’s most nutritious vegetables? Not only is it a popular vegetable crop grown for its healthy, tender flowering head, but also because it is known to have 10-50x more sulforaphane, vitamins, amino acids, alkalines and living enzymes than its fully matured adult counterpart. Sulforaphane-rich superfoods such as Organic Broccoli Sprouts have been found to help alleviate chronic inflammation and combat cancer-causing free radicals.
Organic Radish Sprouting Seeds: Raphanus sativus, more commonly known as Daikon radish or even falsely "white carrot", is native to much of eastern Asia but has since been domesticated throughout most regions. Not only do they contain vitamins A, B, C, E, and K, they also deliver calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc! That's not all, these sprouts are also rich in essential amino acids and chlorophyll!
Organic Mung Bean Sprouting Seeds: Vigna radiata, have been specifically cultivated for the purpose of being used as sprouts in an array of tasty dishes. These legumes are a key component of Chinese, Filipino, and Indian cooking, bringing a delicious savory or sweet flavor to entrees and desserts. Plus, they’re mowed down and tilled back into the soil as a green manure during the spring season, making them incredibly versatile! With even the smallest amount of effort, you can reap huge rewards when it comes to healthy, sustainable living and gardening.
Organic Green Lentil Seeds: Lens culinaris, bring you all the benefits of an ancient crop that has been nourishing people for centuries. Our lentils come from one of the earliest domesticated crops and are a great source of protein and fiber, giving your meals a healthful boost. Not only are they packed with nutrition, but lentils also provide other benefits to help promote successful gardening. These non-GMO seeds have firm roots that can help minimize garden erosion, improve soil tilth and structure while suppressing weeds - the trifecta of success in your garden! Plus, their unmistakable tasty flavor is sure to be welcomed at any table.

Fresh and crunchy sweetness is the predominant flavor profile from the alfalfa and mung, taming the sometimes overwhelming spice of radish which comes in late on the palate. Harvesting Organic 5 Part Salad Mix Sprouts
Each one of these seeds are readily enjoyed within 5-7 days of soaking depending on preference of length, spice, and chlorophyll. Traces of radish and broccoli highlight this largely alfalfa-based blend with a mild hint of both lentil and mung. Harvesting by day 6-7 will develop a more pronounced radish flavor, whereas harvesting at 4-5 days will leave the radish not nearly as spicy and matured. The amount of sunlight exposure will affect flavor.
